Description

IPZilla sends notification emails to the eclipse.org PMC lists. It should also send to technology-pmc@locationtech.org and polarsys-pmc@polarsys.org (as appropriate).

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

I believe this is currently happening when the project is provisioned? Perhaps this bug can be closed?

I don't see any CQ notifications in the LocationTech Technology PMC mailing list.

I do, however, see CQ notices in the PolarSys PMC list.

It looks like there may still be some work to do, but that work may just be configuration.

I've coerced the database to include a mailing list named "locationtech-pmc" that points to https://www.locationtech.org/mailman/listinfo/technology-pmc and have updated the LocationTech PMI page to include this in the contact information.

I'm not sure whether or not this value is actually used by IPZilla; I expect that there is at least an equal chance that Genie guesses the name of the mailing list based on the name of the TLP.

@webmaster; It seems LocationTech PMC are still not receiving email notifications from IPzilla.

Could you please adjust/resolve.

This is related, I believe, to Bug 549639 which asks that we move mailing lists from @locationtech.org to @eclipse.org.

I'm inclined to resolve this as WONTFIX in favour of addressing Bug 549639.

Webmaster, can you confirm that changing the mailing list from technology-pmc@locationtech.org to locationtech-pmc@eclipse.org will resolve this issue?

Webmaster, AFAICT, the new locationtech-pmc@eclipse.org mailing list is not being notified of new CQs as they are created.

Can you please investigate?

It appears that the rt-pmc list isn't being notified of all CQs. It looks like CQs for some projects are in the mailing list archive, but rt.vertx CQs in particular are missing.

I've updated the code fragment that determines which list messages are sent to given that the locationtech and polarsys forges have been merged into Eclipse.org

There isn't any logging available for me to trace this, but based on the workflow code I would only expect the PMC to be notified when a CQ enters the 'awaiting_pmc' state (ie: https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21545 ) which can happen presumably manually or when the workflow tooling processes it.

I spoke to Shawn about this CQ and it looks like he and Julien got to this before the workflow processor did and so it never got into the 'awaiting_pmc' state as the PMC had already approved it.
