Please provision OSSRH Account

Summary

We need an OSSRH account to deploy/release our code. I could not find any OSSRH credentials in any of our records and according to this I have to open a bug issue before.

The project is called "Eclipse Dataspace Connector", this is the Jenkins Instance for it.

PS: Sorry if i'm missing the obvious, but I didn't find any OSSRH credentials anywhere :/

An OSSRH account for Eclipse Dataspace Connector has already be created as requested here:

The credentials were added to the default Maven settings.xml file. If you can't read them from there (e.g. by using a plugin like https://github.com/mark-vieira/gradle-maven-settings-plugin), we can add them as separate Jenkins credentials.

@fgurr thanks for the quick response. If you could add them as jenkins credentials, that'd be excellent. If possible I'd like to avoid having to add a plugin just for reading creds.

Done. Credentials ID is ossrh-account. It contains username and password.

i assumed the "separated" configuration for the variable binding. i tried to log the credentials: the username is eclipse-dataspaceconnector-bot, the password was masked, but they gave me a 403. E.g. in this run

That worked! I now have snapshots in OSSRH staging. Will they be available through Maven Central as well? I'm assuming I have to promote the snapshots somehow, correct? if so, what credentials do I need to log into the staging repo and do that?

We provide the option to publish artifacts using the -SNAPSHOT suffix in case that you need to do any test on your publishing process, but once it is released there is no possibility to change it

You can create your own OSSRH account at https://issues.sonatype.org (if you don't have one already), then comment on https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/OSSRH-78816 and ask for permissions to the group id for your user. Sonatype staff will ask for confirmation from us. Then you can login and release the artifacts.

Most projects use the "Nexus Staging Maven plugin" to automatically release artifacts from OSSRH to Maven Central.
