Minor cleanup

Hi @gmartin102, can you have a look and tell me if these changes are OK. Mostly clean-up:

• Got rid of the xmverilog files generated by Xcelium. These do not need to be in the repo.
• Minor mods to the core-file and Makefilel to support simulation with Xilinx Vivado.
• Add more files to gitignore
