Description
The variant attribute syntax "X bit" has been added to Titan as synonym for FIELDLENGTH/FIELDORDER. The syntax was based on the ETSI Common library, which uses e.g. "4 bit".
However, the ETSI ITS code uses "bits" for multiple-bit length fields: e.g. in LibItsGeoNetworking_TypesAndValues..ttcn "4 bits" is used. As the standard TE doesn't analyse the variant syntax, just passes it to the codec, changing the attribute string would need to change all codecs that may be hard to reach.
Simplest and user friendly solution would be to support also "bits" in addition to "bit" (independent of the number preceding it).
