Standard pretty printer /formatter for AsciiDoc documents
Should AsciiDoc suggest or specifiy a standard formatting like done in go-lang
?
see https://blog.golang.org/gofmt
uncontroversial: never have a debate about spacing or brace position ever again!
AsciiDoc is NOT source code but documentation.
But when it comes along with formatting, an auto formatter could be also in "normal" documenation be a good joice (not only for a TCK).
Here a simple example:
If somebody writes a document like
== I am headline
This is text after headline
_This is a list example:_
- list entry 1
* entry 1.1
- list entry 2
* entry 2.1

he/she could write also :
== I am headline
This is text after headline
_This is a list example:_
- list entry 1
* entry 1.1
- list entry 2
* entry 2.1

even it looks terrible, the output will be exactly the same. And the content itself - from a human perspective - is also the same.
So providing a default pretty printer style for documents would IMHO make sense.
