Java language issues and other outstanding JDT Pull Requests (PRs) need reviewing
Description Java language issues and other outstanding JDT Pull Requests (PRs) need reviewing
-
The JDT project requires additional work to review outstanding PRs. Some of the outstanding PRs are small UI fixes, some are larger improvements. The outstanding PRs are listed in the various repositories of the Eclipse JDT project. -
Rather than have a timescale for individual reviews - some of which may be rather small - the timescale proposal is that a SoW is for a specific amount of time to review as many PRs as possible in that time frame -
Expected deliverables/outcomes: -
Review outstanding PRs, including running tests on the PRs, suggesting improvements, making changes and other parts of the PR life cycle. -
Work with contributors to the JDT project to get code changes ready to be merged. -
Where the PRs are suitable for merging, merging the change at a suitable time for the project (e.g. taking into account code freezes, release candidates as outlined in the freeze plan for the current development) -
Follow along with the standard Eclipse Development Process -
Guided by the JDT Contributing Guidelines. -
Work with and encourage contributors to grow their knowledge of the EDP -
Foster a positive atmosphere around the JDT project with the goal of attracting new committers
-
-
The Eclipse Foundation IT Infrastructure does not have any expected impacts for this development effort -
The means of verification of completion will require the Pull Requests to have review comments, and where approved, the PRs being merged.
