D10 - Can we delete the "Created role" field in election

After removing the Project Role content type in Drupal 10, we have noticed that there is a field called Created Role in the Election content type that reference the Project Role content type.

I had a look at the production website and noticed that the field is not being used very much if not at all. @wbeaton is the field Created Role something we need to migrate to D10? If not, is it something we could delete from the production website directly?
