Description

Some of the Marketplace solution definitions are quite complex, with many versions and many optional features beneath those versions. The form-based editing interface is a poor fit for these definitions. You cannot see much of the definition on the screen at once, perform bulk edit operations, source control the definition, diff revisions, etc.

I propose that a file format be defined for the solution definition. Once this is defined, Marketplace should support solutions that is simply a reference to an external URL containing the actual definition.
