Handling "Draft" vs "Initial Draft" listings
When I perform Marketplace moderation, I see this message:
The issue here is that none of the 16 listings mentioned in the message have been submitted for moderation. They are all previously published listings that have been set to "Draft" either by the listing owners, or by me.
The check for displaying this message doesn't appear to differentiate between "Initial Draft", which indicates a listing is up for moderation, and "Draft", which is just a regular draft state.
Here are some ideas:
- We could omit these "Initial Draft" listings from displaying in the message.
- We could create a separate alert message for each draft type.
- We could change the "Draft" state to use a different label. Something like "Unpublished".
As a side note, I also think it could be a good idea to remind listing owners that they have unpublished listings. We could implement a cron job to send email reminders to listing owners when their listing has been in "Draft" for a few(2-3) months. We could then include instructions on how to delete the listing and/or how to republish it.
