Members page update - switch to use API to display them
Hi @fgurr @fdesbiens , @hjaber63y ,
We are updating all our working groups member page to use our new API for displaying them. The main benefit is that we don't need to manually update our website and the info will always be up-to-date (logos, website URL, and description), plus, our members can manage that info by themselves via our Member Portal website.
https://iot.eclipse.org/membership/members/
Before we update it on IoT website, we would like to confirm 4 things with you.
- Overall layout - Do we want to keep using the same/similar layout on members page (list view) or prefer switching to our default layout (refer eclipse.org)
- Description - If we will keep using the list view, for the description for each member, are we good to use the description from our API? (The content is the same as the one on member detail page on eclipse.org) See API content.
- "Read More" button - Are we good to link members' website to "Read More" button? For now, most of them are doing so. However, parts of them are linking to iot specific pages but some might be invalid pages now (such as, red hat: https://www.redhat.com/iot)
- "View Demo" button - Is the "View Demo" button still useful and do we want to keep it?
Each change above is doable either way. We just would like to make sure we will do them in the right direction.
Thanks!
