Yaml2JSON adopters breaking with additional newlines

When adding a new adopted product or adding a new adopter to an existing project, if there is an additional newline between adopters: and the beginning of the first entry (example below), the YAML2JSON call breaks and returns no data. We should look at a more robust solution that looks at covering the case where additional newlines are added.

This was created in response to the need for a long-term solution for #228 (closed) .
