Create New Proposed Eclipse Open Regulatory Compliance Working Group

Folks:

We are embarking on a new proposal. As is often usual I must wait for the very last moment to ask for your team work as many things must align before we are ready for the proposal (man hours spent by the Leadership Team) in order to land here. I hope that helps explain the urgency so that we can go out to the Membership at Large with the announcement to begin the 14 day review period.

Tile Description

The Eclipse Open Regulatory Compliance Working Group is being created to meet the needs of new government regulations on the software industry which will impact open source communities. This working group is intended to bring together key stakeholders from industry, small and medium enterprise (SME), research, and open source foundations to work with government in forging specifications that will enable industry to continue to leverage open source through the software supply chain to meet those regulatory requirements, and in turn will enable the open source projects to better meet industry's needs in this regard.
