Subscription to eclipse.org-committers and eclipse.org-members-committers is automatic and mandatory for all committers
Let's explore how we can do a better job of informing folks that upon gaining status as a committer, they are automatically subscribed to the eclipse.org-committers and eclipse.org-members-committers mailing lists. Subscription is automatic and there is no direct means of unsubscribing.
All committers are automatically subscribed to these lists as long as they hold committer status. The only way to unsubscribe is to retire all committer roles with all Eclipse open source projects.
Subscription to these lists is a mandatory requirement of status as a committer.
FWIW, we try to use these lists sparingly.
