org.eclipse.osee Formal Migration To GitHub

Summary

The Gerrit org.eclipse.osee repository is ready to transition to the GitHub org.eclipse.osee repository. In doing so we would like the dev branch of the Gerrit repository force pushed to the main branch of the GitHub repository. Following that, the Gerrit org.eclipse.osee repository should be set to read only.

No other OSEE Gerrit repositories nor Jenkins should be modified during this change.

What is the expected correct behavior?

• dev branch of Gerrit org.eclipse.osee repository force pushed to the main branch of Gerrit org.eclipse.osee repository.
  • It is important that the force push is dev → main. dev has functioned as our default branch on Gerrit, while other branches like master are substantially out of date.
• The Gerrit org.eclipse.osee repository should be set to read only.
  • It is important that this is the only repository affected. Not all OSEE repositories are ready to move.
• We would like to coordinate this change to happen on Friday, August 30th (UTC-7). If this is not possible, we can determine another day.
