Remove Kotlin plugin from market place!

Summary

Please remove the Kotlin plugin from market place as it does not work anymore since at least 2 years!

Steps to reproduce

Download newest Eclipse release (as of today 2022-06) and try to install the Kotlin plugin from here:

What is the current bug behavior?

It just does not work or worse it destroys plugins of JDT.

I am not the owner.

I reported many bugs without any response so my suggestion is that the plugin is not maintained anymore.

What is the installation errors listing? Does it show that the plugin works as expected or does it show that the plugin could be installed only without errors?

I see. I will reach out to the author of the listing directly and notify them that someone is recommending that we remove the listing.

I will discuss with them how they would like to proceed with this request.

Someone has a fork with a few fixes. I wonder if they'd be willing to take over the plugin

It would be awesome if those changes were contributed back to the original project but it's possible that project is not accepting them. I need a bit more information about what's going on before making a decision on what we should do.

Reaching out to the author is the next logical step here. I can't delete a listing without doing that first.

I will see if we can get them to join this discussion so that we can sort this out!

I sent an email to the author with a deadline of August 15 to get back to us. If we don't hear from them by that date, we will need to make a decision without their input.

It's the summer and quite a few people are taking vacations, I want to make sure we give them enough time to get back to us.

Since our health check is not reporting any issue, I don't have any immediate reasons to take action today.

I have heard back from the developers and they confirm that the listing is incompatible with the recent version of Eclipse. They

think they might be able to provide an update next week and will update this issue once that's done!

I sent a follow up email to the author. I am extending the deadline by a week to give them a chance to fix the underlying issue.

I spoke with the maintainer this morning and they need a bit more time. I am extending the deadline for Aug 31st.

I sent another email since today was the deadline. I plan on disabling the listing on Friday if we don't get a positive response from the author.

The listing was unpublished today after hearing from the authors. They were not able to provide a fix in time.
