The /mapping directory contains files that define the mapping between various artifacts and sources of information. These file feed data into the scripts that provide data for the [Dash License Tool](https://github.com/eclipse/dash-licenses) backend. These scripts run periodically throughout the day, so once an entry has been added to one of these files, it will become available to the backend and potentially change the results produced by the tool.

This file contains mappings between Eclipse projects and ClearlyDefined. Each line expresses (as a comma-separated pair) an "owns" or "produces" relationship between an Eclipse project (identified by the project id, e.g., "technology.dash") and a five-part ClearlyDefined id. That is, each line expresses that a particular piece of has been developed by a particular Eclipse project using the Eclipse Foundation Development Process and terms of the Eclipse Foundation IP Policy and corresponding due diligence process. |
