Uplift minimum Java version from 1.6 to 1.8

Based on users' feedbacks and our internal Ericsson usage statistics we decided to uplift the minimum Java version from 1.6 to 1.8 to access more advanced language features. This means that from the next release Java 1.8 will be required to use the Eclipse plugins. (Of course the minimum requirement of older releases are not affected.)
