Not able to install connectors in Oxygen

Description

I am trying to install Subversive to a freshly installed Eclipse Oxygen RC3 with a new workspace. When I try to install the connectors via Preferences -> Team -> SVN -> SVN Connector I can see that the check for pre-requisites is running, then some dialog pops up that is immediately closed and nothing happens. The connectors simply won't install.

I have checked if I see something in the error logs, but I get no information anywhere what might happened.
