Is this necessary?

This is included per default by Unity. Not sure if we can remove it.

Is this "generic" or developer specific?

These meta files are automatically added by Unity and are thus generic. These GUIDs are used for referencing and therefore need to be checked in for version control (see https://unityatscale.com/unity-meta-file-guide/faq/)

Would be great if you could add at least a LICENCE

README and all other legal documents required by the Eclipse are actually included. I guess the PR is just to large to show all files included.
