---

DATAMITE empowers European companies by delivering a modular, open-source and multi-domain Framework to improve DATA
Monetizing, Interoperability, Trading and Exchange, in the form of software modules, training, and business materials.
DATAMITE unleashes the monetization potential at two levels. At internal level, users will have tools to improve quality management
of their data, the adherence to FAIR principles, and will be able to upskill on technical and business aspects thanks to the multiple
open-source training materials the project will generate. Therefore, data will become trustable and more reliable also in other
paradigms like AI.

At external level, keeping users in control of their data will provide new sources of revenue and interaction with other stakeholders.
The architecture envisioned for DATAMITE enables DIHs sandboxing, becoming a potential instructor on their onboarding of SMEs
and low-tech SMEs into the data economy. Together, DATAMITE’s solutions will function as a catalyst to boost data monetization in
the European productive fabric.

DATAMITE will validate the results in 3 different use cases with a total of 6 pilots, demonstrating that the Framework is interoperable
and usable in different domains and user needs, as: 1) Intra-corporate, multi-domain data exchange; 2) Data trading among Data
Spaces; 3) Integration with other initiatives as Data Markets, EU AI-on-demand platform, or DIHs. Sectors covered by the pilots are:
agriculture, energy, industrial and manufacturing, and climate.

To achieve this, the project relies on a consortium of 27 partners from 13 countries, bringing together key actors of the Data Value
Chain: Data Spaces technical and business stakeholders, multiple key communities (IDSA, Gaia-X, EUHUBS4DATA, AI4EUROPE, EOSC),
key experts in Legal and SSH aspects to guarantee legal and societal compliance, and facilitators on open-source community building
and standardisation activities to accelerate the transfer to the market.

The automotive industry faces tremendous challenges in addressing decarbonization through electrification, developing future
solutions for inclusive, safe and affordable mobility. Many of these changes require a radical re-thinking of existing development
processes, with the share of software in modern mobility solutions continuously increasing. The rising importance of the software
layer results in the so-called software-defined vehicle (SDV).

Automotive software will be developed and adapted in continuous
cycles. Therefore an abstraction from the underlying hardware needs to be implemented. As a result, the automotive industry is
transitioning to an agile software development process. The dramatic increase of software and complexity, along with the advances
of international competition in this domain, calls for an approach, in which non-differentiating software is developed jointly as open
source. To address these challenges, the EU, together with industry, governments, and research institutions, have launched the
European SDV Ecosystem. To turn this into reality, this proposal outlines the vision and activities for a Coordination and Support
Action.

FEDERATE (Software-Defined Vehicle Support and Coordination Project) aims to bring together all relevant stakeholders to
accelerate the development of an SDV Ecosystem, to foster a vibrant European community and orchestrate the SDV R&D&I activities.
The consortium of FEDERATE is formed by major European OEMs, automotive tiers, semiconductor companies, relevant industry
associations and industrial SDV initiatives, including the Eclipse SDV WG, and supported by a scientific board. FEDERATE will work
towards a common understanding on the vision of the SDV program and create an orchestrated advice for current and future projects
in the SDV program. In addition, recommendations for future calls are prepared in alignment with a Roadmap and Joint Vision
Document for accelerated SDV R&D&I, created as part of the CSA.

TRISTAN’S overarching aim is to expand, mature and industrialize the European RISC-V ecosystem so that it is able to compete with
existing commercial alternatives. This will be achieved by leveraging the Open-Source community to gain in productivity and quality.
This goal will be achieved by defining a European strategy for RISC-V based designs including the creation of a repository of industrial
quality building blocks to be used for SoC designs in different application domains (e.g. automotive, industrial, etc.).

The TRISTAN approach is holistic, covering both electronic design automation tools (EDA) and the full software stack. The broad consortium will
expose a large number of engineers to RISC-V technology, which will further encourage adoption. This ecosystem will ensure a
European sovereign alternative to existing industrial players.

The 3-year project fits in the strategy of the European Commission to
support the digital transformation of all economic and societal sectors, and speed up the transition towards a green, climate neutral
and digital Europe. This transformation includes the development of new semiconductor components, such as processors, as these
are considered of key importance in retaining technological and digital sovereignty and build on significant prior investments in
knowledge generation in this domain.

Development strategies leveraging public research funding that exploit Open-Source have
been shown to boost productivity, increase security, increase transparency, allow better interoperability, reduce cost to companies
and consumers, and avoid vendor lock-ins. The TRISTAN consortium is composed of 46 partners from industry (both large industries
