As part of an ongoing effort to simplify and optimise some of our back-end services, the public facing [CVE API](https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipsefdn/software-dev/api/eclipsefdn-cve-api) previously used by some of our internal sites will be permanently migrated on August 11, 2026 at 2pm Eastern time to a new URL. The previous URL https://api.eclipse.org/cve will be moved to https://api.eclipse.org/foundation/info/cve to live within on of our other internal services, which is currently available. In the short term, a rewrite will be made after the original service goes offline to help in the transitory period, but we encourage any users of the API to migrate to the new API as soon as possible. In addition, we will be performing 2 brownouts for the application in the coming weeks as part of the migration activities. The first brownout will be on July 31, 2026 from 2pm to 4pm Eastern time. The second brownout will be a 24 period from August 6, 2026 at 2pm to August 7, 2026 at 2pm.
