Older download releases such as https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/2024-06/r are missing JEE packages
Summary
Sorry, I'm not sure where to open this. A corresponding website issue list?
The Oomph catalog generator crawls the download pages for links to the download package details. Doing that today there are a massive number of changes:
Mostly this looks like the result of adding a -0 to the links on the pages, e.g.,
- https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/2025-06/r/eclipse-ide-java-developers-0
- https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/2025-06/r/eclipse-ide-java-developers
Both links work, sort of. The one with -0 doesn't really have nice details:
Like this one:
So I'd say even the adding of the -0 is an error and links to a poor-quality page.
When I "demangle" the URIs to remove the -0, I have a smaller set of differences in the catalog:
In this case they are the result of this package
being missing from all older pages starting from this one>
https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/2024-06/r

Impact
It's really disruptive during the final release process to have massive changes in the generate catalogs that are actually wrong. Hopefully this can be ironed out relatively quickly.
