@fgurr: We have created an election and voted for Orhan to become a committer. Is there a way to close the election early, so Orhan can start working? Or do we really have to wait for the timer to count down? He is currently not able to work on the project.
When all of the eligible committers vote in the affirmative, the election will conclude immediately. AFAICT, there is one committer who has not yet voted.
Note that following the election, we require that the PMC approve of the election. Since the nomination statement lists accomplishments, but does not include references, the PMC may need further input before they give their approval (it's entirely up to the PMC).
How was the nominee able to configure GitHub actions without having committer status?
Orhan forked the repository, made the necessary modifications and then created a Pull Request. A GitHub Action configuration is just a YAML file in the repository, so it really is as simple as that. Unfortunatelly it's more complicated for Jenkins, so we need committer status, now.
What do you mean by "references" that should have been included?
@wbeaton / @fgurr : We have voted, the PMC has approved, but Orhan still cannot create Jenkins Jobs and he is also not listed as a committer. Please tell me what is still missing, Orhan is idling for more than one week now, which is very frustrating.
