Project Restructuring for two Eclipse projects to be combined into one. The two projects are the Jakarta EE Platform and Jakarta EE TCK projects. The plan is to have Jakarta EE Platform remain and the TCK one would be combined into it. A ballot was completed with both project's committers and was approved. The results can be seen here. The plan is that only the Eclipse projects will be combined. The github repositories and mailing lists will continue to remain separate. It is just that the new combined project will have two repositories and mailing lists. We would like the committer lists to be combined though so that there is one combined list that is used for both github repositories.

Expected infrastructure changes

The following infrastructure changes are requested by the project team:

This proposal will combine the projects and committer list of the Platform and Platform TCK Eclipse projects. This will not affect the existing mailing lists or the github repositories. Those will continue to be separate

Restructuring To-Do list

In order to implement the proposed changes, we need to complete the following:

• PMC approval
• Project community informed using public channels (i.e. dev mailing list and/or forums)
• Releng team informed (add @fgurr)
• IT team informed (add @webmaster)
• Infrastructure changes implemented
