Eclipse IDE lockup

Sorry if this is not the place for Eclipse issues. This one is driving me nuts!

I cant exactly pinpoint why this happens, but often when viewing log files, sometimes a zillion message boxes appear "Could not read record from log file! Reason: Could not parse the xxth record".

So many message boxes appear that Linux desktop locks up and even the mouse wont move. Note that you only see one message box, presumably they all stack exactly on top. You see a whole lot appear in a flash before it all goes wrong.

Be an improvement if it didn't bring up a message box for every individual line it couldn't parse.

There seem to be quite a few issues in Eclipse with viewing logs. Sometimes a series of message boxes appear "Enables zoom in mode" when you click on a MSC view, or sometimes just when open a log file in the text view. Also the log text and MSC view often wont display until you click on them, then go back to the log and right click -> MSC view.

On a side note, are their alternates to Eclipse?
