eclipseice.ornl.gov should mirror the contents of our master and next download sites at eclipse.org since we are now using the HIPP. The simplest way to do this is to update the cron job on Habilis to pull the files and then upload them.
This is important because our builds on this site are now stale, but our installer still points there because of VisIt.

The wiki's build article should have a developer section that describes the layout of the poms used to build ICE so that it can be modified easier. For example, the instructions to properly configure the ICE download directory are in the repository pom, not the parent pom where one would expect. Seeing as intuition alone isn't enough to locate these things, a helpful guide is warranted.

Hi
I followed chapter 6 in the user manual (on the developer menu) to create
a developer extension for GROMACS. When I finished, I was able to clone
GROMACS (C++) into ICE, but the project does not appear in the workspace.
There seems to be two problems:
1) GROMACS does not contain .project and .cproject files.
2) It is necessary to import the project into the workspace.
I think the tutorial should mention these two details or, better, if ICE would
automate these steps. Automating 2 seems possible, but 1 might not be,
since the .project and .cproject files should, I think, be part of the project
itself.
Thanks
John

Can you give me instructions?
What else is required for installing ICE?
I have installed Eclipse through the PTP environment which has C++ and Fortran but not Java. Should I install the Java environment for this?

In the ICE Item Project Creation Wizard, if the project name is set to include capital letters, the project will have build errors due to inconsistent capitalization. The manifest and java files will include capital letters in their package names, but the package names themselves are all in lower case.
The wizard should either apply a single capitalization scheme or prevent the user from inputting capital letters in the project name.

Under the CentOS operating system, attempting several functions related to Git will briefly freeze ICE, preventing the user from doing anything except moving or minimizing/maximizing the current window, followed shortly by ICE crashing.
Steps to reproduce:
Crash 1) In the Git perspective, press the Clone Git Repository button. Select Clone URI then hit Next.
Crash 2) When a repository is already in the Git perspective, right click, choose Import Projects, and press Next.
I have tested vanilla Eclipse and Git worked fine in CentOS, so this is definitely a problem with ICE.

The XMLPersistenceProvider currently lacks a way to test if it has any unfinished tasks either queued or undergoing processing. This means that there is no way for the test class XMLPersistenceProviderTester to check whether assigned tasks are completed before, for example, trying to read a written file, in turn causing test failures (part of Issue #176 ). Creating a Boolean variable and naively setting it to false at the beginning of the provider's run loop if the Queue is empty failed, and so Alex and I decided to open this issue for discussion on how to have the provider correctly alert other classes to its current status.

**From K.N. Ramachandran:**
Hello all,
I have just started becoming familiar with Eclipse ICE and obtained a Linux binary build using the Python install script. I am currently following the instructions at https://wiki.eclipse.org/Developing_MOOSE_Applications_with_ICE and I am having some trouble here.
I am stuck at the "Adding a Kernel" section. I am facing the following issues and I feel I followed all the preceding instructions clearly.
1) I am able to Add the Kernel and I get the header and src files. But Eclipse is not able to find the "Kernel.h" and I get an "Unresolved inclusion" there as well as other places in the file.
2) Trying to execute the Make target for the Moose App only results in "Info: Nothing to build for testMoose" where testMoose is my app name.
3) When I check the Properties for testMoose, I notice an error message under the "C/C++ Build" section which says:
Toolchain "LLVM with GCC (Linux)" is not detected.
So is the LLVM toolchain necessary? I compiled libMesh using the standard Linux GCC toolchain and I had no issues there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated here.

I attempted to follow the tutorial at [the wiki](https://wiki.eclipse.org/Using_Nek5000_with_ICE). After launching the job, I received the following standard error output:
Log of standard error collected by ICE for Nek5000 Launcher 2
Job launch date: 20160609_124716
Launch host: UltraFluffy
Target host: localhost
Command Executed: cp -r /home/username/nek5000-svn/examples/conj_ht/\* .;rm -rf obj/;cp conj_ht.rea conj_ht.rea;/home/username/nek5000-svn/trunk/tools/scripts/nek conj_ht;/home/username/nek5000-svn/trunk/tools/scripts/visnek conj_ht; conj_ht.rea
Working directory: iceLaunch_20160609124715
cp: cannot stat ‘/home/username/nek5000-svn/examples/conj_ht/*’: No such file or directory
cp: ‘conj_ht.rea’ and ‘conj_ht.rea’ are the same file
./launchJob_20160609124716.sh: line 4: /home/username/nek5000-svn/trunk/tools/scripts/nek: No such file or directory

./launchJob_20160609124716.sh: line 6: conj_ht.rea: command not found
Note that I was attempting to connect to another host. Despite the fact that I had listed "megafluffy" as the connection's hostname, and I was prompted for the username and password when adding it to the host table, the output claims the target host is "localhost" instead.
Also of note is that the program seems to be assuming the Nek5000 install is of a certain structure that is not reflected in the versions I downloaded this morning. For example, it is attempting to launch /trunk/tools/scripts/visnek. However, visnek is located under at /bin/visnek instead. I think that the Nek5000 repo structure may have changed since the last time our code was updated, and so it can no longer find any of the correct files to launch.
