I installed the add-ons from the title simultaneously. When I boot up Eclipse ICE, I get the following bug:
```Unable to check browser availability.
No more handles [Unknown Mozilla path (MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME not set)]```
...even though I have set MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME in the terminal to the correct filepath Firefox is located in (/usr/lib/firefox , in my case).
This then gives me the "An SWT Error has occurred. You are recommended to exit the workbench" dialogue.
The current MeshComponent relies on explicit knowledge of EAVP data structures to perform compressed XML persistence. This prevents it from being moved into January. The system name is kernel is the 2.6 series and it is running Java 1.8.0_121. I think this is the default OpenJDK install.
I don't believe that we can fix or necessarily should fix this. Can someone just download the unstable nightly build and make sure it works for them? As long as the night executable works on other machines, I'll be satisfied to mark this as wont-fix given the machine I'm on.https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipse/ice/ice/-/issues/356Develop "Tile View" for the appstore2019-08-28T14:32:40ZEclipse WebmasterDevelop "Tile View" for the appstore*Created by: anarak*
The aim is
1. To introduce a Vaadin bundle that demonstrates how to connect to a Core instance using OSGi, into the repository.
2. Ensure that the relevant project build properties are updated and ICE builds correctly.
The sample Vaadin app is based on Jay's work in prototyping a Vaadin application to use OSGi services as outlined in:
When I tried to open Vaadin Designer with ICE and GTK2 enabled, I got the following error attached. I had no problems except some glitches in Properties window in the Designer with Eclipse Oxygen that had GTK3 set.
Vaadin recommends launching Eclipse with GTK2 and Cairo enabled as explained [here](https://vaadin.com/wiki/-/wiki/Main/Vaadin+Designer+FAQ). Fedora had webkitgtk3 pre-installed and Eclipse with GTK3 worked just fine. In order to switch to GTK2 to run the designer properly, a compatible version of webkitgtk needs to be installed first I believe.
Installing webkitgtk and enabling GTK2/Cairo allowed running Vaadin Designer in Eclipse and also ICE normally without the glitches related to Properties view in the Designer. There is a webkit2gtk which is newer than webkitgtk <- putting it here for the record.
The following are suggestions for a better clarity of the tutorial.
1.2 Installation: using USB stick is one way of getting the source code, maybe it's worth putting description about getting the source from the web?
1.2 Installation: adding exact file names to the list of what is provided in the USB stick would help. For example: 'A clone of the ICE git repository (ice-repository.zip)' and etc.
1.2.1 ICE Installation:
step 1: maybe the word 'product' can be omitted from 'ice-product*.zip'? There's no 'product' word in the current versions.
step 2: can the executable be specified with its name?
2.1.1 Creating the Plug-in Project: word 'Project' is missing from the 'ICE Item Creation Wizard'. Should be 'ICE Item Project Creation Wizard'.
2.1.1 Creating the Plug-in Project: the app popped up 'ICE Item Project Creation Wizards', in the manual it's 'ICE Item Creation Wizards'. Then in the app it's 'New ICE Item Project', in the manual 'ICE Item Creation Wizard' (screenshot is attached)
![screenshot from 2017-01-25 16-57-32](https://cloud.githubusercontent.com/assets/25353166/22311063/b0f697da-e31f-11e6-87c4-944c8ac4b9dd.png)
2.1.1 After creating the Fern Plug-in Project an Overview window appears in ICE. Either add a screenshot of that view or mention in the tutorial about this appearance, so that users are informed.
2.1.2 The Fern model: 'export string' is not italicised as other variables.
2.2.2 Step 2: the 'Package Explorer' should be 'Project Explorer'.
