I made small steps in multiple commits. Some things are changed over multiple commits.
End-user visible changes:
- The CIF simulator now has a new 'Non-urgent events' option that is to be used instead of its 'Environment events' option. The latter is still present for now, but no longer supported, making sure that users get an error message with migration instructions when they still use the old option.
- Small CIF simulator documentation improvement.
