FOSDEM booth fixes & other comments
FOSDEM Booth
Here are my comments for the FOSDEM booth:

the logo should be shown at the beginning of the page. Better use the horizontal version and not the vertical one to make it look like a banner (content amended into the two screenshots shared here). -
videos are still not uploaded (the three blueprints videos Dony provided and the Oniro launch video). Can we show the BPs as thumbnails images at the beginning of the booth for an easy access? -
The date and time table formatting is not looking good... can we have date and time on the same row? it will improve readability
On a separate hand as we discussed yesterday it would be good to have a link to the Eclipse booth @toscalix adding an Oniro section there... any update from your colleague Brian on how to raise the request?
Social Media
- SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNICATION --> usually for every event we file an excel document that will contain: calendar of posts (with date and time), copies (short and long version), #, @, keywords to be used (@dongnihe can provide the template). We can make an ad hoc one for FOSDEM to be reviewed. That would work as social media calendar but also can be used by every member and team to post on their personal accounts in a compliant way. It will come along with social media image package.
Considering how we run social media communication, I think that:
- We should leverage FOSDEM to increase the Oniro Twitter account follower base, by driving people from Eclipse, Huawei, SECO, Linaro etc official pages to the project page.
- Point to the account from the booth
- Live tweetting can be a good way to be on the cutting edge and maybe be one of the top contributors to social media communication during the two days of event --> how can we do that @sgiacomoni2as ?
- We should consider FOSDEM as the start of a new way of doing communication on social networks (we can't stop the communication on Twitter for months and reopen it randomly only to promote events). The marketing team will work on it and make a yearly calendar proposal.
Current situation on social networks is the following: Oniro has only a twitter account https://twitter.com/Oniro_Project imo we would need also a Linkedin account to make some real noise and put some referral between the two platforms and really build a social funnel. Other than that at some point if we will push towards consumers audience, Instagram would be a good fit to deliver content and increase the engagement and the brand awareness (I think this decision will go under the marketing committee once formed indeed this is not a proposal just a consideration for future evaluation).
Press release
- PR --> press release is still an open topic. Let's discuss about that in the next marketing meeting next week (18.01.2022) to build a communication proposal. FOSDEM is a huge event, attracting so many people and Goofy is the right hook to raise attention, give a 2022 development perspective, passing the message we need contributors, partners, members to endorse it. A press release can be a good way to organize press deep dives and interviews that will support our communication activities in Q1 and prepare the upcoming quarters.
